High performance finite Difference Time Domain Method Software
XFDTD can be applied to conductors and a wide variety of dielectric and magnetic matirials
which are defined in a meshed cubical problem space. Excitation is by incident plane wave or
multiple near-zone sources, either pulsed or sinusoidal. XFDTD then steps though time to calculate
the electric & magnetic fields on each cell edge.
An advantage of XFDTD over most competing methods is that results for wide band of frequencies
are available from one FDTD calculation when using pulse excitation. Thus a single calculation
can provide the S Parameters, impedance, or antenna gain vs frequency.
