Remcom is pleased to introduce the Multiple Processor Module (MPM) for XFDTD. This new module has the ability to take advantage of multiple-processor computers by running computations simultaneously on multiple CPUs, drastically decreasing run times when compared to those of single processor machines.

When used with XFDTD, the MPM will automatically divide the problem space evenly among the requested CPUs. This allows the most efficient use of individual processor time, reducing the overall run time for the calculation. Our tests have shown that the maximum number of CPUs that may be efficiently used on one problem is limited only by the underlying computer hardware (usually the memory to CPU bus speed). The MPM supports up to 128 processors, and with prices starting out at $5,000.00* for the dual processor version, your company can easily afford to configure XFDTD to run on even your most sophisticated work station.
